What does Philippians 3:5 mean?

Every mark of standing listed here belongs to the outer man, the credentials of birth, tribe, and strict observance, and none of it is the thing that saves. The circumcision on the eighth day, the pure descent, the exact keeping of the law, all of it is performance the world can see and admire, and it leaves the inner self untouched.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Every mark of standing listed here belongs to the outer man, the credentials of birth, tribe, and strict observance, and none of it is the thing that saves. The circumcision on the eighth day, the pure descent, the exact keeping of the law, all of it is performance the world can see and admire, and it leaves the inner self untouched. What God perceives is not the record of outward correctness but the intention held within.

A person can possess every advantage of the visible life and still not have entered the one state that matters, which is the imagination assumed and lived from. These titles order a man among men. They do not make him the son coming forth from within. The self that redeems is reached by inward assumption, by rearranging the mind and staying faithful to the unseen state, not by anything on the outside however flawless. What you are being in imagination is your standing before God, not the list you could recite about yourself.

Live Philippians 3:5 today

  1. Look at the version of yourself you present online, the bio, the feed, the signature line, and ask honestly how much of it is for other people. Then spend ten minutes today being the you nobody is looking at.
  2. In your next conversation, resist mentioning the credential, the title, the thing that makes you sound solid. Let the person meet you without the resume.
  3. When you feel the urge to prove you are right or qualified or impressive, let that round go. What you are inwardly being matters more than winning the point.

If no one could see your credentials, who would you be today?
