CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

A mind that chooses fear will meet only what fear can make. Nothing is done to it from outside; it tastes what it prepared, and is filled with the plans it laid in the dark. The world it walks through is the exact shape of the teacher it followed, and it calls that shape justice when it is only consequence.

This is not a sentence passed by an angry God but the simple honesty of the mind. What a mind believes, it will see; what it plants in guilt, it will harvest as a threatening world. The mercy hidden here is that a different seed is always at hand, and the harvest changes the moment the planter does.

Fruit: the outcome a mind eats, the return of its own chosen thoughts made visible as its experience. Devices: the private plans laid in secret, the ego's schemes that fill a mind with exactly what it feared.

Live Proverbs 1:31 today

  1. Look at how your day has felt so far and ask what you have been feeding it. The hour of scrolling, the replay of an argument, the story you keep rehearsing: these are the ingredients, and the mood is the meal.
  2. Before you see your family or a friend tonight, decide what you want to bring into the room. Walk in with that instead of whatever the day left in you.
  3. When something at work goes wrong and you feel the urge to say "of course it did," catch it. That sentence plants tomorrow's version of today, and you can simply not plant it.

If my life is handing me back what I have been planting, what would I like to start planting instead?
