CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

Wholeness of mind is its own guidance. When a mind is undivided, choosing love without a second wish held back, the way opens before it because nothing in it pulls the other direction. There is no map to consult; the singleness is the path.

What ruins is only the divided wish, the mind that wants love and attack at once and so is torn between two teachers. Nothing outside destroys it. It is undone by its own inner split, and the correction is simply to choose again, whole this time.

  1. Pick the one thing you actually want from today and say it to yourself before the phone comes on. Most of the pull you feel later is just the other wishes you never put down.
  2. When you help someone, drop whatever you were quietly hoping to get back. The help gets lighter the second you let go of the invoice.
  3. In a tense exchange, decide before you speak whether you want the connection or the win. You cannot have both, and the trying is what tears you.

Where am I wanting two opposite things at once and calling the strain bad luck?

Tao Te Ching 39

Hold to the one and things find their place. What is scattered loses its footing because it is pulled several ways at once.

Bhagavad Gita 2

The divided mind has no peace, and without peace there is no happiness. The settled intention is the whole of the practice.
