Proverbs 14:32 Meaning The Wicked Is Brought Down

The wicked is brought down in his calamity, but in death, the righteous has a refuge.

What does Proverbs 14:32 mean?

A mind that lives by attack is carried off by its own belief in attack, for guilt drives out the one who holds it, making a world that seems to expel him though he made the exile himself. What looks like being cast away is only the ego reaping what it taught, a mind fleeing the danger it projected and never seeing that the threat was its own.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

A mind that lives by attack is carried off by its own belief in attack, for guilt drives out the one who holds it, making a world that seems to expel him though he made the exile himself. What looks like being cast away is only the ego reaping what it taught, a mind fleeing the danger it projected and never seeing that the threat was its own.

The one who has chosen love meets even the end without fear, because what the world calls death is to such a mind only the falling away of illusion. A self that has forgiven has nothing to lose in the passing of the false, and its hope is the quiet certainty that what is real in it was never in danger at all.

Live Proverbs 14:32 today

  1. Think of one thing you did that you still flinch about, and let today be the day you stop carrying it as evidence against yourself. It was a mistake, not a verdict.
  2. Say the hard thing clearly to the person it concerns, with no defense built around it. Living without a cover story is lighter than keeping one standing.
  3. When something goes wrong at work and the instinct to protect yourself rises, name your part in it plainly. Nothing real in you is at risk in that sentence.

What are you running from that you built yourself?

By yourself the wrong is done and by yourself you are harmed. No enemy does to you what your own mind does.

Stoicism · Marcus Aurelius

Lose the fear of the end and you lose the fear of everything. A life lived straight has nothing waiting to be taken from it.

Bhagavad Gita 2

What is real in you was never born and cannot die. Grieve the shape it takes, not the thing itself.
