Proverbs 21:12 · World English Bible
The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked, and brings the wicked to ruin.
Within a single mind the loving thought looks steadily upon the whole structure the ego has built, the entire house of fear with its walls of guilt and defense, and does not flinch from seeing what is there. It does not attack that house, for it knows attack would only make the ego seem real.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Within a single mind the loving thought looks steadily upon the whole structure the ego has built, the entire house of fear with its walls of guilt and defense, and does not flinch from seeing what is there. It does not attack that house, for it knows attack would only make the ego seem real. Love does the overthrowing simply by being present, undoing separation the way light undoes a shadow, not by force but because fear cannot stand where love has come.
The correction asks nothing violent. A mind that looks honestly at its own fear, in the company of love, finds the whole structure quietly dissolve, for it was never built of anything but a mistaken thought.
The righteous man: the loving thought within the mind that looks calmly and fully upon fear without being frightened by it The house of the wicked: the entire structure the ego has raised, the walls of guilt and defense that love dissolves simply by being present
Christian Psychology lens
What am I afraid to look at, and what might happen if I looked at it kindly?
A lamp carried into a dark room does not fight the dark. It simply arrives, and the dark was never anything solid.
The soft wears down the hard, and nothing is accomplished by force. What yields outlasts what strikes.
Steady seeing burns away confusion the way fire takes dry wood. Looking clearly, without panic, is itself the undoing.
