He who blesses his neighbor with a loud voice early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse by him.
A blessing shouted too eagerly is often the ego wearing love as a costume, loud because it is anxious to be seen as loving rather than content simply to love. What the mind performs for its own image does not bless anyone, and the strain in it betrays the fear underneath.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
A blessing shouted too eagerly is often the ego wearing love as a costume, loud because it is anxious to be seen as loving rather than content simply to love. What the mind performs for its own image does not bless anyone, and the strain in it betrays the fear underneath.
This is why the display turns back on the one who makes it. Love asks nothing of volume and nothing of the hour. A quiet mind that has truly chosen love needs no announcement, and its gift arrives without a sound while the loud offering only echoes the emptiness it hoped to hide.
Friend: another mind that love would meet in stillness, offered here to the ego's display instead. Morning: the eager hour the ego seizes to be seen, the first light bent into a stage for its own image.

How much of my kindness today was for the other person, and how much was for the way it made me look?
The one who knows does not make a display. The loudest praise is often the emptiest.
Say little and do much. The quiet deed outlives the announcement.
A bell that is struck too hard rings harsh. Real warmth needs no force behind it.
