Proverbs 9:5 Meaning Come
Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!

Proverbs 9:5 · World English Bible
Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
Love does not merely lay out its provision; it presses the invitation, urging the mind to take in what has already been prepared for it. To eat and drink is to accept the healing thought fully, to let it become part of how the mind sees rather than a truth admired from a distance.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Love does not merely lay out its provision; it presses the invitation, urging the mind to take in what has already been prepared for it. To eat and drink is to accept the healing thought fully, to let it become part of how the mind sees rather than a truth admired from a distance. The ego is content to look at peace and call it lovely. The gentler Teacher asks the mind to receive it, so that innocence is no longer a hope but a fact lived from within.
What is offered was mingled by love itself, made ready before the mind ever asked. All that remains is the taking.
Bread: the sustaining thought of love, the truth a mind takes in to live by rather than admire from afar Wine: the gladness prepared by love, the joy poured out for a mind willing to accept its own innocence
Christian Psychology lens
What good thing have I been admiring from a distance instead of taking in?
A painted meal does not feed anyone. The teaching has to be swallowed, not admired.
You can spend a lifetime praising the water and still die thirsty. Drink.
Do not just carry the good ideas around and recite them. Digest them, until they show up in how you act rather than in how you talk.
