AWARENESS

Indian Guru

Joy of this kind is the signature of something discovered rather than accepted. Borrowed words sit in memory as dead weight; the heart does not dance for information. When truth is heard inwardly the whole being lights up, and that lighting up is the only proof available.

Plunder is found, not earned. A man stumbling on treasure has done nothing to deserve it, and truth arrives with the same flavor: the mind is busy with its usual accounting and something enters from outside the accounts. Celebration is the response, and religiousness begins there rather than in solemn duty.

  1. When something you read or hear today actually lands, stop and let it land. Ten seconds of sitting with it beats underlining it and moving on.
  2. Tell one person about something that genuinely moved you this week, with the gladness still in your voice instead of flattened into a fact.
  3. In the middle of a packed day, let one good thing count: the light, a kind message, a problem that solved itself. Give it a second of real gladness instead of filing it.

When was the last time something true made you glad instead of just informed?
