Psalms 35:20 Meaning For They Don’t Speak Peace

For they don’t speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

What does Psalms 35:20 mean?

The quiet in the land are simply those who have stopped struggling, who no longer need to prove or provoke. Their peace works as no strategy.

Ego v. Being

The quiet in the land are simply those who have stopped struggling, who no longer need to prove or provoke. Their peace works as no strategy. What remains when the restless self grows still, that alone is their peace.

Yet that stillness disturbs the mind that lives on conflict, so it invents grievances, scheming against people who wanted nothing from it. The ego cannot bear the presence of someone it fails to pull into a fight. When a person rests in that inner quiet, the plots aimed at them lose their target, because no anxious self is left inside to hook. The peace they carry is the very thing the noise cannot reach.
