Psalms 37:34 Meaning Wait for Yahweh

Psalms 37:34 · World English Bible
Wait for Yahweh, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
To wait on the Lord is not the restless waiting of the mind, forever leaning toward a future when life will finally be as it should. It is the deep patience of surrender, a yielding to the intelligence of this moment rather than a struggle against it.

The same verse, read by one tradition.

EGO & BEING
To wait on the Lord is not the restless waiting of the mind, forever leaning toward a future when life will finally be as it should. It is the deep patience of surrender, a yielding to the intelligence of this moment rather than a struggle against it. You keep to this way not through effort but by returning, again and again, to presence.
What the ego builds through force and fear cannot last. Those structures, the wickedness in you and around you, are cut off in time by their own violence. Because you did not fight them from anxious striving but stayed rooted in Being, you remain, whole and unshaken, to inherit the ground they held and see it with your own eyes.
Ego v. Being lens
Where are you forcing something that would move more easily if you stopped pushing?
What is forced does not hold. A thing pushed against its own grain soon breaks, while what grows in its own time stands.
What stands in the way becomes the way. Yield to what this hour actually contains instead of to the hour you had planned.
The skilled butcher's blade never dulls, because he finds the openings already in the joint rather than hacking at bone.
