Psalms 50:12 Meaning If I Were Hungry

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

What does Psalms 50:12 mean?

This is the voice of your own awareness of being, and it does not beg. It never announces a lack, because to say I am hungry is to confirm the emptiness and hold it in place.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

This is the voice of your own awareness of being, and it does not beg. It never announces a lack, because to say I am hungry is to confirm the emptiness and hold it in place. Awareness owns the world and everything filling it, since every state already exists and belongs to the one who is aware of being.

The cattle on a thousand hills, the fullness of everything, are already yours; nothing has to be acquired, only occupied. When a person stops repeating his want and instead assumes the thing as already possessed, he speaks from this same ownership. You do not tell the source you are hungry. You take what is yours by feeling it to be so now, and the having is what appears.

  1. When you catch yourself scrolling for something you are missing, put the phone face down and sit for one minute with the feeling of already having it. Not asking, just having.
  2. In your next conversation, drop one complaint you were about to repeat. Speak instead as someone whose life is full, and watch how differently the other person answers you.
  3. Under pressure at work, when the urge comes to say how short you are on time, money or help, stay quiet for a breath and choose a sentence that assumes enough. Then act from that sentence.

What have I been repeating as missing, when I could be living as though it were already mine?

Tao Te Ching

The sage does not grasp, and so nothing is withheld. Wanting announces separation from the thing wanted, while the one at rest in the whole already has its use.

Upanishads

The Self lacks nothing, because everything arises within it. To search outside for what you already are is to overlook the only place it could be found.

Stoicism · Epictetus

Stop telling yourself you are poor in what you have not got. Turn instead to what is already yours, and the sense of want quietly loses its grip.
