Psalms 50:21 Meaning You Have Done These Things

You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that I was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.

What does Psalms 50:21 mean?

A God built to your own measurements will approve of everything you were already going to do. What a person makes of silence comes from the model already running in them, built out of a thin sample and defended as reality.

A God built to your own measurements will approve of everything you were already going to do.

What a person makes of silence comes from the model already running in them, built out of a thin sample and defended as reality. A man who assembled his God from his own appetites reads delay as agreement, the only answer that model can give back. The belief steadies his state, the steady state kills urgency, and missing urgency compounds into years of conduct he never examined.

Two people meet the same unanswered heaven and live in different worlds, one moved toward repair, the other deeper into what he wanted. Correction has to come from outside, set in front of his eyes, because nothing inside that model could ever produce it. What it costs to keep the small model is every year spent answering to a God of his own manufacture.

  1. Take the one thing you keep telling yourself is fine because nothing bad has happened yet. Write down the honest version in your notes app and read it back.
  2. Ask someone who will actually tell you the truth what they see in you that you might be defending. Then do not argue with the first thing they say.
  3. When silence or no pushback makes you feel approved of today, treat that as no information at all, not as a yes.

Where have you been reading quiet as agreement?
