CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

Clinical Psychology

The dragon is the ancient predator that has hunted human beings since we first climbed down from the trees. This chaos hunts whatever is fragile, ordered, and trying to become good. Its rage is not random. It goes after the ones who keep the commandments, because a person living by a code is the one thing pure appetite cannot digest.

To be part of that remnant is to accept that goodness draws fire. The forces of dissolution are strongest against the small band still holding to something. Standing on principle will not make you safe, but it makes you a target worth being. What the dragon hates in you is precisely what is worth defending.

Live Revelation 12:17 today

  1. Keep the one promise to yourself that nobody would ever check: the alarm, the run, the drink you skipped. The fact that it costs you something is the point.
  2. When a group chat turns on somebody who is not there, say one plain decent thing about them. You will feel the temperature drop on you, and that is the shape of being someone with a line.
  3. At work, when the easy answer is to go quiet about something you know is wrong, say it once, calmly, without a speech. Expect it to cost you a little, and go home anyway.

What do you believe that you have stopped saying out loud, and who taught you to stop?

Stoicism · Epictetus

If you decide to live by a standard, expect to be laughed at for it. Pay that price up front and the mockery loses its grip.

Bhagavad Gita 3

Better to do your own duty imperfectly than someone else's well. A life shaped by its own code is harder to pull apart than a life shaped by approval.

Judaism · Pirkei Avot

If I am not for myself, who will be. Standing somewhere means standing out, and there is no version where you are both committed and invisible.
