Revelation 17:12 · World English Bible
The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.
Powers of the lower nature can rule inside a person for a short season while the flesh is in charge. The number 10 marks the fullness of a completed order in the material realm, and these 10 crowned forces are drives that hold no lasting dominion of their own, borrowing their authority from the animal self and reigning only briefly.

ESOTERIC
Powers of the lower nature can rule inside a person for a short season while the flesh is in charge. The number 10 marks the fullness of a completed order in the material realm, and these 10 crowned forces are drives that hold no lasting dominion of their own, borrowing their authority from the animal self and reigning only briefly. One hour is the short, measured span of their strength, a rule that flares up with the beast and passes. The horns are the aggressive thrusts of energy in the body, jutting powers that seize command for a moment when appetite governs, then lose it.
The forceful urges of the lower self can seize control of a person for a brief spell, but their power is borrowed from the flesh and lasts only a short hour before it fades.
10 horns: the aggressive thrusts of energy in the lower body, jutting powers that seize brief command when the flesh governs 10 kings: drives of the lower nature that hold no lasting dominion, borrowing their rule from the animal self Beast: the animal nature ruling the body, the source from which these urges take their fleeting authority One hour: the short, measured span in which the lower powers reign before their strength passes

What did I do last week in a hot minute that I would not have done an hour later?
A strong wind does not blow all morning and a sudden rain does not last all day. If nature cannot keep up such force, neither can anything driven by force in a person.
Every feeling that arises, however fierce, has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Watching an urge rise and pass without acting on it shows you it was never permanent.
Anger and craving borrow their authority from your agreement. Withhold the judgment that they are urgent and they lose the throne they were sitting on.
