Revelation 3:11 Meaning I Am Coming Quickly

I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.

What does Revelation 3:11 mean?

The higher self announces its swift arrival within, the awakening that comes suddenly once the inner conditions ripen. What a person has already gained in consciousness must be gripped and kept, because spiritual attainment is not secured once but held against the constant pull of the lower nature to reclaim it.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

The higher self announces its swift arrival within, the awakening that comes suddenly once the inner conditions ripen. What a person has already gained in consciousness must be gripped and kept, because spiritual attainment is not secured once but held against the constant pull of the lower nature to reclaim it. The crown is the summit of realization, the illumined state at the top of the head where the awakened powers converge and rule. No man taking it means no lower faculty, no distraction of the flesh, is permitted to seize back the ground the self has won. The one who comes quickly is the indwelling divine principle drawing near to the point of full awakening. Holding fast is the steadiness that keeps the gained state from slipping.

The height a person reaches inside can be lost to his own lower pulls, so what is won there has to be kept in a steady grip.

Live Revelation 3:11 today

  1. Think of the calmest or clearest you have felt in the last month, and ask what you were actually doing in those days. Do one of those things today, deliberately, before the day fills up.
  2. Tell one person what you are trying to hold onto in yourself right now. Said plainly to someone who knows you, it becomes harder to quietly let go of.
  3. On the day that pulls you backward, the argument, the deadline, the scroll you did not mean to start, come back without the speech about having failed. Just put your attention back where it was and keep going.

What have I already found in myself that I am letting slip?

Bhagavad Gita 6

The steadied mind slips back easily. It has to be gathered again and again, gently, each time it wanders off.

Zen

After the insight, the dishes still need washing. The clarity is not kept by remembering it but by continuing the practice that produced it.
