Revelation 6:12 Meaning I Saw When He Opened the Sixth
I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became as blood.

Revelation 6:12 · World English Bible
I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became as blood.
When the sixth seal opens, the settled ground of a life is shaken loose, the old structure of belief cracking as a deeper current forces its way up the spine. The sun going black is the conscious mind, the bright day-self, losing its light so the person can no longer steer by what he thought he knew.

ESOTERIC
When the sixth seal opens, the settled ground of a life is shaken loose, the old structure of belief cracking as a deeper current forces its way up the spine. The sun going black is the conscious mind, the bright day-self, losing its light so the person can no longer steer by what he thought he knew. The moon turning to blood is the reflected, feeling nature flushed with the raw pulse of the body, no longer a cool mirror but hot with life. This is the darkening that precedes an inward opening, when the familiar lights fail and the being is thrown back on something older than either.
Sun: the conscious day-mind, the bright reasoning self that gives its own light to the person Moon: the reflective feeling-nature that shines only by borrowed light, here overtaken by the body's blood Earthquake: the shaking of the settled ground of belief as a deeper energy rises through the body 6 (the sixth seal): the number of flesh and man, the level of trial just before the completion of 7

What have I been steering by that I never actually checked?
Return to the root and the stillness there holds when everything above it shakes. What looks like collapse is often a return.
The wound is where the light gets in. The breaking of the familiar is not the end of the house, it is the opening of the window.
The student's understanding must be taken away before real seeing begins. What feels like losing your footing is often the first honest ground you have stood on.
