Revelation 6:4 Meaning Another Came Out

Another came out: a red horse. To him who sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. There was given to him a great sword.

What does Revelation 6:4 mean?

Red is the color of the emotional fire at the solar plexus, the blood and passion heating the belly, the heat of anger and craving tied to Mars. This is the second energy a person rides after the white, and where the white raised and guarded the inner life, the red tears peace from the ground of the body and sets the forces within a person against one another.

The great sword is the divided will, the cutting mind turned on itself, one part of a person striking down another. When this fire rules unwatched, the inner house falls into civil war, passion drawing the sword and the self warring with the self until stillness takes the reins again.

Live Revelation 6:4 today

  1. When the heat rises in your chest today, put your phone face down and breathe for a slow count of ten before you say or type anything. The feeling will still be there, but it will no longer be holding the pen.
  2. If a group chat or a family dinner turns sharp, be the one who does not add fuel. You do not have to agree, you only have to not swing.
  3. Under pressure at work, watch the part of you that starts attacking yourself first. When you hear that voice calling you stupid or useless, treat it the way you would treat a stranger insulting your friend.

Which fight I am in today is actually happening inside me?

Hatred is never ended by hatred, it is ended only by letting it go. Whoever holds the thought "he wronged me" keeps the wound open and feeds it.

Stoicism · Marcus Aurelius

Anger does more damage than the thing that caused it. The insult is outside you, but the rage is inside, and only the inside one can tear your life apart.

Tao Te Ching 78

What is soft and yielding outlasts what is hard and brittle. A person who stops fighting himself has nothing left to defend and so nothing left to lose.
