Revelation 6:9 Meaning When He Opened the Fifth Seal

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed for the Word of God, and for the testimony of the Lamb which they had.

What does Revelation 6:9 mean?

Beneath the altar, which is the head itself, lie the risen faculties of one who has climbed into that higher realm of awareness. They are martyred there by the outer life, yet not defeated ghosts but powers that have ascended and given themselves over.

Esoteric

Beneath the altar, which is the head itself, lie the risen faculties of one who has climbed into that higher realm of awareness. They are martyred there by the outer life, yet not defeated ghosts but powers that have ascended and given themselves over. To be slain for the word of God is to spend the truth written into the body's DNA, letting the lower self kill off its claim so the higher can stand.

Their testimony is the old oath sworn from the seat of generative fire, the witness rising from the lower centers into consciousness. What was surrendered is not lost. It waits beneath the crown of the skull, where the spine's oil at last anoints the brain.

Altar: the head, the skull's high chamber where the Christ within is enthroned Word of God: the truth written into the flesh, the DNA of the living body Testimony: the inner witness that rises from the generative fire up into consciousness

Live Revelation 6:9 today

  1. Spend something real today on what you believe in, not just thinking about it. An hour, a text you have been scared to send, a small amount of money given quietly.
  2. Tell one person the truth you have been softening. Not harshly, just plainly, even though you know it costs you something to say it.
  3. When standing by what you believe makes you look foolish at work or in a group chat, hold still anyway. You can be the only one not laughing and survive it fine.

What have I given up that I am still quietly waiting to be paid back for?

What you give away is not gone, it is planted. The reed has to be cut and hollowed before it can carry a song.

Bhagavad Gita

Offer the fruit of your work rather than grasping it, and the work itself becomes an offering. Nothing truly surrendered is ever lost.

Zen

The teacher tells the student to let go, and when he says he is holding nothing, the teacher says then let go of that too. The emptying is not loss, it is room.
