Revelation 9:15 Meaning The Four Angels Were Freed Who Had
The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.

A third of men is slain: a whole level within a person is put to death, cut down so the count of life is lowered. This is judgment, not comfort. Something in the mortal nature is prepared for slaughter at its set hour, and the loosed forces of the body carry it out exactly when the cycle comes due.
