Romans 14:10 Meaning But You

But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

What does Romans 14:10 mean?

The brother is another faculty within one person, and to judge or dismiss him is one power of the body condemning another, the mind at war with itself. The judgment seat of Christ is the awakened higher consciousness in the head, the ruling center before which every faculty must at last present itself.

Esoteric

The brother is another faculty within one person, and to judge or dismiss him is one power of the body condemning another, the mind at war with itself. The judgment seat of Christ is the awakened higher consciousness in the head, the ruling center before which every faculty must at last present itself. All the powers stand there together because they belong to a single self, and none is set above the rest to sentence the others.

Condemnation between the faculties is division inside one body, and the standing before that seat is the gathering of every part under the one risen consciousness that alone measures them. The self is meant to be unified beneath its own crowned center, not split into a judge and the judged.

  1. When you catch the inner prosecutor starting up today, about your appetite, your laziness, your softness, hear that part out instead of sentencing it. It belongs to you, and it is not the enemy.
  2. The next time you want to write someone off in a group chat or over dinner, hold the verdict and ask one question instead. You are closer to the same self than the judging feels.
  3. Under stress, when you want to split the room into the competent and the useless, include yourself in whichever list you make. Nobody in it is standing above the rest to pass sentence.

Which part of myself have I been putting on trial, and what would it take to let it sit down?
