Romans 14:4 Meaning Who Are You Who Judge Another’s Servant

Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.

What does Romans 14:4 mean?

The servant is the body a person wears, and the master is God, your own imagination, which puts that servant through every trial to transform it. To judge another is to forget this, because you change no one by condemning him.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The servant is the body a person wears, and the master is God, your own imagination, which puts that servant through every trial to transform it. To judge another is to forget this, because you change no one by condemning him. You change others only by changing the concept you hold of them, and the only beliefs about another worth keeping are ones you would accept as true of yourself.

The promise that he shall be held up means the outer world conforms once your inner speech and inner picture of it are set. Persuade yourself first, and what you are persuaded of stands. God is able to make him stand because God is the assuming power in you, and what it assumes about anyone becomes so. You lift a person by lifting your own idea of him. Held rightly within, he is held up without.

  1. Think of one person you have quietly written off, and change your private verdict on them, in your own head, where no one can see it. Hold the version of them you would want held of you.
  2. The next time the group chat is pulling someone apart, do not add to it. Say the one decent thing you actually believe about them, or say nothing and keep your own picture of them steady.
  3. When a coworker drops the ball and you feel the judgment rising, stop before the email goes out. Decide they are capable, write to that person, and see what comes back.
