Romans 3:15 Meaning Their Feet Are Swift to Shed Blood

Their feet are swift to shed blood.

What does Romans 3:15 mean?

Feet are the understanding, the base on which the whole person stands and by which the being carries itself through its walk in the world. When the feet are swift to shed blood, the lowest and most animal part of the understanding runs quickly to destroy the life-force in others, blood being the carrier of life within the body.

Feet are the understanding, the base on which the whole person stands and by which the being carries itself through its walk in the world. When the feet are swift to shed blood, the lowest and most animal part of the understanding runs quickly to destroy the life-force in others, blood being the carrier of life within the body. A being grounded in violence moves fast toward the draining of life rather than its keeping.

The swiftness is the readiness of a lower consciousness to act before it reflects, the base of understanding already in motion toward harm. Where a person stands determines where a person runs, and an understanding rooted in the shedding of blood carries the whole self toward death rather than toward the raising of life.

  1. Today when a message or headline spikes your anger, sit with the feeling for sixty seconds before your thumbs touch anything.
  2. In a disagreement with someone you love, aim to understand rather than to land the hit you already have loaded.
  3. In traffic, in a line, in a tense meeting, when the sharp reply forms, let it stay unsaid once and see what the room does with the extra space.

How fast do you move toward harm when you feel wronged, and what would slowing down cost you?
