Song of Solomon 3:9 · World English Bible
King Solomon made himself a carriage of the wood of Lebanon.
Solomon is peace, the ruling stillness a person builds within, and the chariot he fashions is the mind made into a vehicle that carries that peace upward through the body. He builds it of the wood of Lebanon because Lebanon is the white, pure, virgin consciousness at the top of the range, and the raw material of the climb is desire itself, the wood, refined and shaped rather than cut away.

ESOTERIC
Solomon is peace, the ruling stillness a person builds within, and the chariot he fashions is the mind made into a vehicle that carries that peace upward through the body. He builds it of the wood of Lebanon because Lebanon is the white, pure, virgin consciousness at the top of the range, and the raw material of the climb is desire itself, the wood, refined and shaped rather than cut away. So the rising soul-energy of meditation takes the ordinary craving of the flesh, works it into a disciplined frame, and rides it up until peace becomes the sovereign that governs the whole inner kingdom.
The still center within a person turns desire into the very carriage that lifts it toward the pure high consciousness at the crown.
Solomon: peace, the still ruling power a person establishes within Chariot: the mind fashioned into a vehicle that carries the self upward Wood: desire, the raw craving of the flesh shaped into usable material Lebanon: the white, pure, virgin consciousness at the summit of the inner range
Esoteric lens
What do I want so much that it could carry me somewhere, if I pointed it uphill?
The strong energies are not enemies to be cut away, they are the fuel. Transformed rather than suppressed, desire becomes the very force that carries you.
The senses are the horses, the mind the reins, and the discerning self holds them. Driven well, they carry you where you could never walk.
The longing you feel is already the answer calling back to you. The ache itself is the mount you ride.
