Zechariah 14:4 Meaning His Feet Will Stand in That Day

His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two, from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

What does Zechariah 14:4 mean?

The mountain is your own head, and the day it splits is the day of the second birth. Feet standing on it name God's creative power come at last to rest in you, no longer wandering.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The mountain is your own head, and the day it splits is the day of the second birth. Feet standing on it name God's creative power come at last to rest in you, no longer wandering. When the mount cleaves and the two halves fall apart, a skull is opening. The one stepping out from the widening valley is the creator and redeemer who was folded inside a man all along.

Resurrection happens like this: an awakening within a person's own skull, the first thing the buried God does when he stirs. One man saw the mount divide in vision and understood it as his own body giving birth to the power within it. No far-off obstacle parts here. The head cleaves, and God is unveiled where he was hidden.

  1. Take five minutes with the screens off and your eyes closed, attention resting just behind your forehead. Nothing to achieve, just be where you already are.
  2. Instead of asking someone what you should do, sit with the question yourself first and see what rises. Then talk, if you still want to.
  3. When the day cracks open and you want to escape it, stay put for one minute. Let the pressure split something inside you instead of sending you out the door.

What have I been waiting to arrive that is already here, inside my own head?

Zen

Awakening happens where you are sitting, not somewhere you travel to. The gate opens inward.

Mundaka Upanishad

The real is hidden in the cave of the heart and found by turning attention around. No journey covers that distance.

Tao Te Ching 47

Without going out the door you can know the world. Looking out the window less and inward more is how the sages saw.
