1 Chronicles 16:10 · World English Bible
Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
To glory in the holy name is not to praise something distant and far above you. The name points to that which cannot be named, the formless presence beneath all things.
From the Ego v. Being reading below.
The same verse, read by one tradition.

EGO & BEING
To glory in the holy name is not to praise something distant and far above you. The name points to that which cannot be named, the formless presence beneath all things. When you rest your attention there, the small self that always seeks approval grows quiet, and a deeper gladness rises on its own.
This is why those who seek find their hearts rejoicing. When seeking turns inward, away from the noise of thought, it becomes its own reward. The joy does not wait until you have found. It arrives the moment your attention returns home to the aliveness of now.
Ego v. Being lens
When was the last time you felt glad for no reason you could point to?
The Tao that can be spoken is not the real Tao, and the name that can be said is not the real name. What you are reaching for is nearer than any word for it.
He said that your longing for the beloved is itself the beloved calling you. The wanting is not a sign of distance, it is the meeting already happening.
The self you are hunting for is the one doing the hunting. Turn attention around and the search ends where it started.
