Look closely and no two gifts are the same. One heals, another teaches, another listens well. It is tempting to rank them. Yet each is a different window onto the same hidden ground we all share.

A woman who could paint what she could never say was no lesser than someone who speaks with ease. She drew on that one source, shaped by her own nature. The many gifts exist because that single source cannot show itself all at once. It needs many different lives to become visible, and each person reveals one part of it no one else can.

Live 1 Corinthians 12:4 today

  1. Name the thing you are good at that does not impress anyone, listening well, fixing things, keeping people calm. Use it once today on purpose.
  2. Tell someone specifically what they are good at that you are not. Not a compliment in general, the actual thing, so they hear it in words.
  3. In a meeting where one kind of talent gets all the oxygen, make space for the quiet person whose gift does not perform well in rooms. Ask them directly what they see.

Whose gift have you been ranking below your own without meaning to?
