MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Two men are named, and both are you. The first man is the earthy one, the person bound to the senses, who takes the outer world as final and himself as a creature shaped by it. This is universal man, the sleeper, God buried so deep in a mortal life that he forgets he is anything more. He is real, but he is the beginning, not the end of what you are.

The second man is the Lord from heaven, and heaven is not a place above. It is awareness waking to itself, the imagining power recognized as the one cause of all you experience. The same being that lay asleep as the earthy man stands up as this second man, no longer ruled by conditions but knowing itself to be their source. You are not one of these and doomed to the other. You are the first turning into the second, the sleeper becoming the one who was always awake underneath.

Live 1 Corinthians 15:47 today

  1. Sometime today when the news or a number on a screen tells you how your life is going, step back and ask who is reading it. Give that watcher the last word, not the screen.
  2. Spend one conversation listening as the one who is not shaped by this, letting someone vent without catching their mood. Be the still part of the room.
  3. When a day goes sideways and conditions seem to be running you, say quietly that these are effects, not causes. Then do the next small thing from that footing.

Have I been living as the one the world happens to, or the one it comes out of?
