Malevolence has a lineage, and it runs backward without end. To choose the destructive path is to enrol in something far older than any one person, a pattern that has been unmaking the world since the beginning.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
Malevolence has a lineage, and it runs backward without end. To choose the destructive path is to enrol in something far older than any one person, a pattern that has been unmaking the world since the beginning. No one invents his own corruption. He inherits it, feeds it, and calls the result freedom.
Against that stands a single aim: to dismantle the works of ruin at their root. The purpose is to undo evil, deliberately, in the small province each person governs, rather than merely manage it. Take apart the destruction you have been quietly building, and build something that holds instead.
Clinical Psychology lens
What have you been building that you would not want to look at finished?
Another person's wrongdoing should be left where it lies, because the only fault a person can actually work on is his own. Start the repair where your hands reach.
As rain breaks into a poorly thatched house, craving breaks into an untended mind. Neglect is how the damage gets in, so the roof is repaired on purpose.
The teaching is to repair the world, not to wait for it to repair itself. The repair is done in the small corner you can actually reach.
