MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Salvation means the awakening to a power a person already carries, the discovery that his own imagining is the savior he waited for. No rescue arrives from far off. The prophets searched because they sensed this gift stirring long before it dawned in full, a coming grace that was the coming of self-knowledge.

Grace means the whole thing is given, not earned by struggle or good behavior. The capacity to reshape a life sits inside the ordinary act of assuming, free and already present. What the old voices reached toward was this plain fact arriving at last. The one who imagines is the one who saves, and that power was never far off. It waited only to be recognized as his own.

Live 1 Peter 1:10 today

  1. Instead of asking for help today, try assuming the outcome you want for ten quiet minutes and see how little effort it actually takes. The ability was sitting there the whole time, free.
  2. When someone comes to you worn out from pushing, do not hand them a plan. Ask what they would feel like if it were already resolved, and let them answer out loud.
  3. Under pressure, when the instinct is to work harder or find someone to fix it, stop for thirty seconds first. Set the finished thing inside you, then go back to work from there.

What have I been searching for outside me, that was mine the whole time?

Zen

A man searched everywhere for the ox he was already riding. The whole long search was the only thing standing between him and what he had.

Hinduism · Upanishads

That which you seek is already what you are, and no journey covers the distance because there is none. The teaching does not add anything, it only removes the mistake.

Taoism · Zhuangzi

Zhuangzi said the fish does not go looking for water. What sustains a person is so close and so constant that he overlooks it and goes hunting far away.
