Acts 26:19 Meaning Therefore

Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

What does Acts 26:19 mean?

The heavenly vision is the desired end seen within, the state you have glimpsed as already fulfilled, and to be obedient to it is to stay faithful to that inner sight no matter what the outer world reports. Disobedience would be dropping the vision the moment the senses argue against it, letting appearances talk you out of what you clearly saw.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The heavenly vision is the desired end seen within, the state you have glimpsed as already fulfilled, and to be obedient to it is to stay faithful to that inner sight no matter what the outer world reports. Disobedience would be dropping the vision the moment the senses argue against it, letting appearances talk you out of what you clearly saw.

He does not obey the facts in front of him. He obeys the thing seen inwardly and holds to it until it externalizes. This is the whole of faith stated in one line: you keep the imagined end alive against every denial, and by keeping it you compel it into being. The vision does not have to be plausible. It has to be held. A person loyal to what he has inwardly seen, refusing to betray it for the evidence of the moment, watches that seen thing become the fact he lives in.

Live Acts 26:19 today

  1. Write down in one line what you saw for yourself, then reread that line tonight instead of the day's evidence. Same vision, unchanged by the hours in between.
  2. Be careful who you hand the vision to today. If someone asks and you know they will pick it apart, keep it quiet and keep it whole.
  3. When the facts show up loud, a rejection, a number, a flat no, let them exist and keep the picture anyway. You are not pretending, you are refusing to let the moment have the last word.

What did I clearly see that I have been talking myself out of?
