Ephesians 3:16 · World English Bible
that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,
The strength meant here rises from within, not from anything a person could grip or accomplish. The inner being is that quiet depth beneath the restless surface of thought, and this is where power gathers.
From the Ego v. Being reading below.

EGO & BEING
The strength meant here rises from within, not from anything a person could grip or accomplish. The inner being is that quiet depth beneath the restless surface of thought, and this is where power gathers. Effort cannot reach it. The strength wells up instead from stillness, from the vast presence that a person carries but rarely touches.
When life is drawn from that source rather than from the anxious mind, a steadiness settles in that the outer world cannot shake. The prayer points inward, toward the ground where a person is quietly held and made strong.

SUFISM
Real strength here is not bolted on like armor from outside; it wells up from a spring hidden deep in the person. The heart's mistake is to seek its power in what others can see, in applause and standing, while the true source sits untouched underneath.
The practice is to go inward in secret, turning from the noise of being noticed toward the quiet where that spring rises. And the giver and the strength given are closer than they look. What is prayed for is not a thing handed across a gap but God's own richness surfacing within, a buried treasure finally coming up into the light.
Ego v. Being lens
When I need strength, do I reach outward for it, or down into the stillness I already carry?
