Exodus 2:9 · World English Bible
Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away, and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.” The woman took the child, and nursed it.
The child handed over to be nursed is the meditating self in its infancy, the mind newly turned inward and needing to be fed until it can stand. Pharaoh's daughter is the desire of the emotions, an offshoot of the ego, and yet even she must give the child up to be raised by the woman, who is spirit.

ESOTERIC
The child handed over to be nursed is the meditating self in its infancy, the mind newly turned inward and needing to be fed until it can stand. Pharaoh's daughter is the desire of the emotions, an offshoot of the ego, and yet even she must give the child up to be raised by the woman, who is spirit. So the emotional nature releases the young mind into the care of spirit and even pays for its nourishing. The one who takes and nurses it is the divine mother, spirit feeding the growing inner self.
The new inner life is not left to the ego's daughter to keep; it is placed at the breast of spirit and grows there, funded by the very emotions that had to let it go.
Child: the meditating self in its infancy, the mind newly turned inward Pharaoh's daughter: the desire of the emotions, offspring of the ego Woman: spirit, the divine mother who nurses the growing inner self Wages: the emotional nature's own energy given to feed what it released

What in you is still too young to work, and needs feeding instead?
Can you care for what is new in you the way a mother cares for an infant? The way holds things gently while they grow rather than forcing them.
Guard a growing kindness the way a mother guards her only child. What is tender is fed, not tested.
The great tree was useless for timber and so it was left alone and grew huge. What is spared from being put to work has room to become something.
