Exodus 3:12 Meaning He Said
He said, “Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

Exodus 3:12 · World English Bible
He said, “Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
Egypt is the dark bodily condition, the flesh and its bondage where consciousness lies enslaved to matter, and the bringing forth of the people is the raising of scattered thought-energies up out of that lower state. The mountain is the elevated place in a person, the raised consciousness at the crown of the head where the divine is served, and the promise that God will be present is the assurance that the higher Self never leaves the one who begins the climb.

ESOTERIC
Egypt is the dark bodily condition, the flesh and its bondage where consciousness lies enslaved to matter, and the bringing forth of the people is the raising of scattered thought-energies up out of that lower state. The mountain is the elevated place in a person, the raised consciousness at the crown of the head where the divine is served, and the promise that God will be present is the assurance that the higher Self never leaves the one who begins the climb. The token given is the completion itself: the sign that the work is real appears only after the energies have been led up out of the body's darkness.
The pattern is inward and continual. What frees a person is not escape to some other land but the lifting of one's own life-force from the base of the body to its summit, where the seat of true worship waits.
Egypt: the dark bodily condition, the flesh in which consciousness lies enslaved to matter. The people: the scattered energies and thoughts within a person, waiting to be led up out of bondage. The mountain: the raised consciousness at the crown of the head, the high place where the divine is served.

What am I waiting for permission to begin?
Without going out the door, you can know the world. What you are looking for is not somewhere else, so travel does not get you closer.
You are your own refuge, and no one else can walk the path for you. The high ground is reached by your own steps, inward.
What you seek is seeking you. The presence you are climbing toward was already with you at the bottom of the climb.
