MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The older names for God spoke of a power outside a person, mighty and far off, ruling from above. The name Jehovah carries a different revelation. It means I AM, the plain sense a person has of his own being, the words he says silently before naming anything he is. The forefathers felt the power but had not yet found it in themselves.

To be known by this name is to discover that God is the awareness looking out through one's own eyes. Whatever a man attaches to I am, he becomes. The almighty was never a stranger in the sky but the self a person feels himself to be, and every condition of his life follows the word he quietly joins to it.

  1. Instead of asking for help as if it comes from far away, put your hand on your chest and feel the one who is aware in there. Speak to it as near, not above.
  2. When someone asks how you are, give an honest answer from inside yourself rather than the automatic fine. Let them meet the actual person.
  3. In a tense moment at work, stop looking outside for permission or rescue. Decide who you are going to be in the next ten minutes, and be that.

How long have you been treating as distant the thing that has been looking out of your eyes?
