God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Before anything is done to the world, something happens in the mind. A mind sunk in the belief that it is alone, walled off in its own private darkness, hears the single Word that undoes that belief, and the darkness was never real to begin with. Light is not manufactured here; it is simply allowed, because it is what the mind is when nothing stands against it.
So the whole of correction is contained in one quiet permission. A mind does not fight the shadows it fears, it lets the light be, and in that letting the shadows are seen for what they always were, an absence and not a power. What you welcome into your thought is what you will see everywhere.
Light: the awareness of truth that dawns in a mind the instant it stops choosing fear, the natural state that needs no making, only acceptance.

EGO & BEING
Before there was anything, there was the formless, and out of it came light. This is the first movement of all creation: awareness arising, the capacity for anything to be known or seen. The light here is not only what fills the sky. It is consciousness itself.
And that same light did not remain in the past. It is the awareness looking out through your eyes right now, the silent knowing in which every sight and sound appears. When you are truly present, you notice that this light was never only outside you. It is what lets anything be experienced at all, the very awareness that is awake in you now.

MANIFESTATION
God speaking is your own awareness of being uttering a state and finding it done. To say "Let there be" is to assume something as already so, and the light that answers is that assumption become fact. No struggle and no delay stand between the word and its fruit, because the speaker and the world that responds are one. The word and the answer are one. This is the pattern of every creation you will ever make: a state named within, felt to be so, and then found without.
The whole world is imagination, and you become what you imagine yourself to be. To move deliberately in your own mind toward a chosen state and dwell there is to speak this same word and bring that state into being. What you dwell in and own within yourself hardens into your outer life. The wish assumed as already fulfilled and felt as present is the word that lights up the world to match it.

ESOTERIC
The first act of creation is the dawning of awareness itself, the moment consciousness kindles within the dark waters of the unformed self. Light here is not the sun, which is not made for days yet, but the inner illumination of mind waking to know that it is, the spark that separates knowing from the void.
The speaking and the being are one motion: at the level of spirit, to command light and for light to appear happen together, because thought and creation are the same power there. Within a person this is the instant understanding first flares in the darkness, the birth of the seeing that makes all the rest possible.
Light: the awakening of consciousness and inner illumination, the mind coming aware in the darkness of the unformed self

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
Reality answers to the word, and that is the deepest claim being made here. The cosmos does not begin with a warrior slaughtering a monster and building the world from the carcass. It begins with a voice speaking order into what had no form, and the order holds. Light emerges from undifferentiated darkness the way consciousness itself dawns, separating what can be seen from the formless potential that preceded it.
Speech makes a world habitable. What you articulate, you call into being, and what you refuse to name stays lost in chaos. The universe is founded not on violence but on the creative power of what is rightly spoken. Attend to your words. They are the instrument by which order is drawn out of confusion.
Christian Psychology lens
What would today look like if you stopped pushing the dark away and simply let the light in?
The sage does not force things into being. What is natural appears the moment the straining stops, and the world rights itself without a hand laid on it.
The mirror is already clear. Nothing is added to it when the dust is wiped away, because brightness was never the dust's to give or withhold.
A little light drives out a great deal of darkness. You do not wrestle with the dark, you kindle one small thing and the dark turns out to have had no weight.
