CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

To a mind lying on bare ground, certain it has lost everything, comes the assurance that the very place of its supposed poverty is already given. Love does not wait for the traveler to arrive somewhere better. It meets him exactly where he lies and calls that spot his inheritance.

The ego measures worth by what has been earned and secured, and so it always finds the ground beneath it wanting. Yet the mind owns the ground already, and its children after it, because what love gives cannot be taken and was never really absent.

Lord: the Voice of love standing above the dream, present at the very place fear thought itself alone Land: the mind's own condition, the seemingly barren ground that is quietly recognized as the inheritance it never lost Seed: the loving thoughts a healed mind extends, the offspring of a decision that keeps giving beyond the one who made it

Live Genesis 28:13 today

  1. Look around the room you are in right now, the plain unglamorous one, and let it count. Not as a stopover on the way to a better room.
  2. Tell someone you live or work with one true thing you value about the current arrangement, as it is today, without mentioning how it could be better.
  3. When you catch yourself thinking life starts after the move, the raise, the fix, name that thought and then do one ordinary thing well right where you are.

What have I been treating as a waiting room that is actually my life?

You can live well here, in this exact situation. If you cannot live well here, then there is no other place that will supply it.

Tao Te Ching 46

The one who knows that enough is enough already has enough. Wanting more is the only poverty.
