ESOTERIC
A single point in the head is renamed once a person wakes to it. What was only a place among places becomes the house of God, the spot between the brows where the divine is met face to face. The renaming is the whole event: the pineal gland, asleep and unnamed while a person lives outward, is recognized at last as the altar within, and the old name falls away because the old, unconscious way of passing through that spot is over.
Nothing moved and nothing was built. The same point that meant nothing now means everything, because the one standing there finally saw what it was. That is what it is to find the house of God inside your own head.
Bethel: the house of God, the point in the head, the pineal gland, where the divine is met face to face City: a fixed center in the body, here the single inner place a person finally recognizes and names
