Genesis 33:3 Meaning He Himself Passed Over in Front
He himself passed over in front of them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

Genesis 33:3 · World English Bible
He himself passed over in front of them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
A mind that has decided love is safe steps out ahead of its own defenses and lowers itself, not in fear now but in release. The bowing is the laying down of every argument for separation, repeated until nothing of the old grievance remains standing.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
A mind that has decided love is safe steps out ahead of its own defenses and lowers itself, not in fear now but in release. The bowing is the laying down of every argument for separation, repeated until nothing of the old grievance remains standing. Each descent is a place where the mind stops insisting it was wronged.
Coming near is the whole of it. The distance between two who seemed to be enemies was never in the ground between them; it was the guilt each mind held against itself. When that is set down, closeness is all that is left, and the approach becomes the healing.
The brother: the one the mind had cast as its opponent, who is in fact the self it refused to forgive, drawing near as the grievance falls away.
Christian Psychology lens
What argument am I still keeping alive that is only holding someone at a distance?
Water takes the low place and so nothing opposes it. Lowering yourself is not defeat; it is how distance closes.
Be the first to greet. The one who steps forward with peace does not lose standing; he ends a quarrel that could have lasted years.
A full cup can receive nothing. Set your case down, and only then is there room to be near someone.
