Isaiah 11:1 Meaning A Shoot Will Come Out
A shoot will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will bear fruit.

Isaiah 11:1 · World English Bible
A shoot will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will bear fruit.
Jesse is the bare awareness of being, the root, the plain sense that you are, out of which the whole line of David rises. The stem looks cut down, the situation finished, and still a rod comes forth from it.
From the Manifestation reading below.
The same verse, read by one tradition.

MANIFESTATION
Jesse is the bare awareness of being, the root, the plain sense that you are, out of which the whole line of David rises. The stem looks cut down, the situation finished, and still a rod comes forth from it. That rod is the creative power itself, Christ, brought out of your own awareness to bring a wonder child to birth. The imagination that is Jesse becomes David, all humanity gathered into one, and fathers itself as the eternal Father.
This is not merely a fresh self that grows because the old one refused to quit. The branch out of the roots is the one power in you giving birth to itself. What looked like a dead stump was the living ground of your own being. Out of it the awakened self is born, and it turns and calls you Father, so you learn that you were God the whole time.
Manifestation lens
What have I already buried that might still be living ground?
All things turn and return, and in the deepest low point the movement reverses. What looks like the end of a thing is the ground it comes back out of.
The useless, gnarled, cut-back tree is the one still standing, because what seems finished has its own life. Judging by appearance you would have written it off.
Lotuses do not grow on dry high ground but in the mud of low wet places. The awakened state comes out of the mess of an ordinary life, not away from it.
