Isaiah 43:10 · World English Bible

Isaiah 43:10 Meaning You Are My Witnesses

You are my witnesses,” says Yahweh, “With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me.

What does Isaiah 43:10 mean?

To be a witness is not to argue for the truth but to be present to it. When you become still, something in you watches the coming and going of thoughts without being caught in them.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

To be a witness is not to argue for the truth but to be present to it. When you become still, something in you watches the coming and going of thoughts without being caught in them. That watching presence is what you truly are, and it was never formed and will never pass away.

Everything you can perceive appears in time and dissolves in time. But the awareness in which all of it appears is prior to every form. You know this the moment attention rests in the aliveness of this instant. Because that presence has no beginning and no end, nothing made can stand before it or come after it.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

A witness is someone who has seen a thing for himself, not someone who repeats what he was told. You are asked to witness that the awareness of being, the plain sense of I am within you, is the only power there is. No god was formed before that awareness and none will be formed after it, because everything you call a power outside you is something you first accepted inside.

To know and believe here means to choose the inner sense of being over every report your senses bring back. The senses insist the world makes you. The awareness answers that you make the world by what you assume yourself to be. When a person stops arguing from the evidence and rests in I am he, he stops looking for God elsewhere. He has found God as his own consciousness.

Live Isaiah 43:10 today

  1. Sit for two minutes with your phone face down and let your thoughts come and go without answering any of them. You are the one watching, not the traffic.
  2. In your next conversation, catch the reply forming in your head and let it wait. Keep listening from the quiet place behind your own opinions.
  3. When a message lands that spikes your pulse, say to yourself, there is anger here, instead of I am furious. Then choose what to send from the stillness that watched it rise.

Who is it that sees my thoughts come and go?

Bhagavad Gita 2

The one who watches is never born and never dies. Weapons cannot cut it, fire cannot burn it. It simply witnesses the changing body and mind.

Thoughts are clouds crossing the sky. The sky is not harmed by them and does not travel with them.
