Isaiah 44:8 · World English Bible

Isaiah 44:8 Meaning Don’t Fear

Don’t fear, neither be afraid. Haven’t I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I don’t know any other Rock.

What does Isaiah 44:8 mean?

The voice that says fear nothing is your own imagination, the God anchored in your skull, and it insists there is no other. Whatever you assume yourself to be, you serve and become, so nothing outside you holds the power to make or break you.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The voice that says fear nothing is your own imagination, the God anchored in your skull, and it insists there is no other. Whatever you assume yourself to be, you serve and become, so nothing outside you holds the power to make or break you. You are called the witness because the promise was told long before it was felt, and only your own undergoing of it confirms the account is trustworthy.

Prayer here is not asking. It is the joyful assumption that what you want is already so, held until the world lines up to agree. "Is there a God beside me?" refuses every rival cause: not luck, not another person, only the awareness of being you carry now. The plain fact is this. There is one power, it is your own imagining, and you are the one who confirms it by living what you were told.

  1. Before you unlock your phone this morning, name one thing you want and say to yourself, calmly, that it is already so, then go make your coffee as a person for whom it is settled.
  2. Next time someone in a group chat hands you their panic, do not catch it. Answer from steadiness and let your reply be the proof that the fear was optional.
  3. In a meeting where a decision seems to rest on someone else's mood, remember the outcome is not theirs to hand you. Hold your own quiet certainty and speak from it.

Where have I been treating another person as the power that decides my life?

Upanishads

That deep self at the center of you is the same reality holding everything else. There is nothing standing outside it that could grant or withhold your life.

Zen

A student kept asking where Buddha was until the teacher pointed at the one asking. The seeking proves the seeker already carries what he is hunting for.
