Isaiah 48:11 Meaning For My Own Sake

For my own sake, for my own sake, I will do it; for how would my name be profaned? I will not give my glory to another.

What does Isaiah 48:11 mean?

The one speaking is your own I AM, and it acts for its own sake because there is no other. God buried himself in you and rises again as your very awareness of being, so the whole work of your redemption is his own doing, done to himself, credited to grace and not to anything you managed to earn.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The one speaking is your own I AM, and it acts for its own sake because there is no other. God buried himself in you and rises again as your very awareness of being, so the whole work of your redemption is his own doing, done to himself, credited to grace and not to anything you managed to earn. His name, the I AM, cannot be shamed, and his glory goes to no rival because no rival exists.

This is why the outcome never depends on your worthiness. The power that fulfills your assumption is the same self you are, working through the trials of a life to bring itself fully awake. The glory given to no other is the recognition, when it finally dawns, that the being who dreamed this world and the one now waking inside you are one. You are the doer you were waiting on.

Live Isaiah 48:11 today

  1. When the voice says you have not earned the good thing you want, set that question down entirely. Your deserving was never the mechanism.
  2. Let someone help you today without immediately balancing the ledger. Take it plainly, say thank you, and leave the debt unpaid.
  3. Under pressure, when you catch yourself trying to prove you are worthy of the outcome, stop proving. The power doing the work is the same self that is standing there tired.

What am I waiting to deserve before I let myself have it?

Advaita Vedanta

The one searching and the one being searched for turn out to be the same. Nothing was earned, the recognition simply arrived.

Tao Te Ching 37

The Tao does nothing by force and leaves nothing undone. The work completes itself without needing a worker to deserve it.

Zen

A fish spent its life asking where the ocean was. Waking up was not a reward for effort, it was seeing what had been carrying it all along.
