Isaiah 49:5 · World English Bible

Isaiah 49:5 Meaning Now Yahweh

Now Yahweh, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, says to bring Jacob again to him, and to gather Israel to him, for I am honorable in Yahweh’s eyes, and my God has become my strength.

What does Isaiah 49:5 mean?

Jacob is the center of imagining in you, the inner self that quietly commands the outer world, and to bring Jacob again is to return your attention to that creative power instead of to appearances. Israel is what you want made real, the desire scattered through your mind and not yet gathered into one felt conviction.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Jacob is the center of imagining in you, the inner self that quietly commands the outer world, and to bring Jacob again is to return your attention to that creative power instead of to appearances. Israel is what you want made real, the desire scattered through your mind and not yet gathered into one felt conviction. The servant formed from the womb is imagination itself, shaped for this single work of restoring a person to his own creative center.

Even when the desire is not yet gathered, the work already counts as done, for changing one state within proves the power and grants the reward before the whole is complete. Israel is what you want realized, and it is found within, never out on the visible earth. Your strength is the imagining self, and the moment it is honored, the outcome is assured.

Live Isaiah 49:5 today

  1. When your attention runs to the news, the numbers, the thing you keep checking, bring it back to the inner picture you actually want. Do it as many times as it takes.
  2. In a conversation where you are both circling the problem, be the one who turns it. Ask what you two actually want here, and stay on that.
  3. When the outside looks like it is deciding everything, close your eyes for twenty seconds wherever you are standing and return to the one place the decision really sits.

What keeps pulling my attention outward, and what would I see if I brought it home?

The scattered mind is pulled in every direction and sees nothing clearly. Gathered back to one point, it becomes a friend and a power.

Zen

The teacher kept sending the student back from the gate to his own cushion. The place you keep leaving is the place the work happens.

Tao Te Ching 47

Without going out the door, a person can know the whole world. What you are looking for out there is found by turning in.
