Jeremiah 30:11 · World English Bible

Jeremiah 30:11 Meaning For I Am with You

For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.

What does Jeremiah 30:11 mean?

Everything in the world of form comes to an end. Nations, identities, the roles you thought were you, all of them dissolve in time, and much of what you cling to will indeed be brought to nothing.

Ego v. Being

Everything in the world of form comes to an end. Nations, identities, the roles you thought were you, all of them dissolve in time, and much of what you cling to will indeed be brought to nothing. This can feel like destruction.

Yet something in you is never ended by this. The awareness that watches the forms come and go is not itself a form, and so it survives every loss. The difficulties that break down what is false in you are not there to annihilate you. They wear away only the roles and identities you mistook for yourself, and what remains is the awareness that was there the whole time.

Live Jeremiah 30:11 today

  1. Think of one label you quietly lean on, your job title, your follower count, your role in the family, and sit for a minute with the question of who you are without it.
  2. When someone criticizes you today, feel the sting and then ask whether what got hurt was you or just an image of you. Answer honestly before you reply.
  3. In a loss or setback this week, a project killed, a plan cancelled, let yourself feel it fully without rushing to rebuild the story. Something in you is watching, and that part is fine.

What has already been taken from you that you survived anyway?

Buddhism

Everything made of parts comes apart. Suffering is not in the ending but in the belief that what ends was you.

Bhagavad Gita 2

Bodies and roles are clothing that wears out. What wears them is not touched by the wearing.
