John 1:1 · World English Bible
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Before anything seemed to happen, there was one thought, and that thought was wholly with its Source and wholly one with it. The mind's true origin is not an event in time but a communication that never began and never breaks, love speaking love to itself with nothing between.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Before anything seemed to happen, there was one thought, and that thought was wholly with its Source and wholly one with it. The mind's true origin is not an event in time but a communication that never began and never breaks, love speaking love to itself with nothing between. Whatever a mind believes about its separate start, its real beginning is this unbroken oneness in which speaker and spoken are the same.
So the deepest truth of a mind is that it was never apart from what created it. The story of exile is a later dream laid over a bond that the dream cannot cut. When a mind remembers the Word it came from, it finds it was always being said by God and was never anything other than God's own thought.
The Word: the single creating thought of love, the mind's true self spoken by its Source and never separate from it.

EGO & BEING
Before anything took form, there was the formless. Not a beginning in time, for time had not yet arisen, but the timeless ground from which all things come. The Word is not a sound or a sentence. It is the living intelligence, the pure awareness present before the first thought and the first star.
Everything you perceive is a passing shape thrown up by that one consciousness. And that consciousness is not something separate from the divine, standing beside it. It is the divine, the one formless reality out of which every form, including you, continually arises.

MANIFESTATION
In the beginning was the Word, not as a sound, but as the meaning behind all that is, the plan that never changed, the purpose that shaped existence before time had form. This Word was not separate from God; it was God’s own intention made manifest, the very substance of his being turned inward to become the seed of man. The Word became flesh and dwelt in us, not among us, not as a distant figure, but as the hidden life stirring beneath the skin of every thought, every breath, every moment of recognition. You are not seeking him out there in the crowd, in the temple, in the scriptures read by others. He is the quiet knowing that rises when you stop searching and finally hear yourself speak, not as the man you’ve been told you are, but as the one who has always been the source of the voice that says, “I am.” The whole drama of Jesus is your own story unfolding: the betrayal, the tomb, the rising, not as history, but as the awakening of the inner man who realizes he never left God, only forgot he was him. The world does not recognize him because it still sees only the garment, not the One who wears it. And when you finally see it, that the Word you’ve been waiting for has always been the breath behind your own “I am”, you will know why the rabbis were stunned: the man who had never studied spoke as one who had always known.

ESOTERIC
In the beginning was the Word, not as sound, not as text, but as the living pulse of electromagnetic radiation that precedes form. It is the photon stream flowing through the pineal gland, the same biophotons that shamans see as twisted ladders and serpentine staircases, the very structure of DNA vibrating with language only the silent mind can receive. This Word was with God because it never left Him, it is the consciousness that shaped the bang, not the other way around. The Word was God because what we call divine is not outside us, but the inner radiation that lights every human being at conception, the same force Jesus called “the light of life.” When John says the Word became flesh, he does not mean a man appeared, rather, the universal electromagnetic principle took form in a body so that those who meditate might recognize: the light within you is not yours alone, it is the same light that spoke at the dawn of all things. The body is the temple where this radiation dwells, not as symbol, but as measurable, biological reality, the biofotons that leave when the body dies, still speaking in the silence.

PSYCHOANALYSIS
Before a person can think one clear thought, something in them already reaches toward meaning. That reaching is what the old text calls the Word. It is the mind's first act: to name, to tell one thing from another, to draw a line across what was only a formless dark.
This power is not borrowed from outside. It rises from the deepest center of a person, the center people have always pictured as God. So to call the Word God is to say that our power to make meaning and the ground of our being are one and the same. We wake into an ordered world because that hidden center is speaking through us.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
At the very foundation of everything stands not blind matter or brute chance but the Word, the articulate principle that speaks reality into coherent form. Before there was a world there was meaning, and the act that brings the world into being is an act of speech, of truth given shape. This is a claim about the deepest structure of existence: that logos, honest ordering communication, is not incidental but primary.
What follows from this is astonishing and practical. When you speak the truth and call order out of your own confusion, you are participating in the same process that founded the cosmos. The tongue that names things rightly is doing, in small, what was done at the beginning.

CYBERNETICS
Before any life takes shape, there is a word, an idea, a mental picture, and that picture is the seed of everything that follows. Your automatic mechanism cannot act until you first give it a clear image to aim at, spoken silently in the theater of the mind. The inner word comes first, and the deed obeys it.
A man who could not describe the self he wanted stayed stuck for years. In plain words, form a clear picture of who you mean to be, and your actions will begin to match it.

SELF-HELP
Before anything is built, there is language, the words a person uses to name their world and themselves, and those words quietly become the reality they live in. The vocabulary running through a mind is not decoration. It is the raw material from which a whole life is shaped.
A man who upgrades the words he speaks over his own future begins to feel and act from a different place. Change the language you live by and you change the life that grows out of it.
Christian Psychology lens
What in me would relax if I believed I had never once been separate from my source?
The nameless is the origin of everything, and the named is only how it appears to us. What speaks and what is spoken come from one undivided source that was never made.
In the beginning there was only Being, one without a second. The self in you is not a fragment sent out from it but that very Being, never apart.
There is only one Reality, and every voice is that Reality speaking. The lover and the Beloved turn out to be one word said in two directions.
