CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

There is a way of the mind that keeps accounts, that measures every act against a standard and pronounces the sentence guilt has already decided. This is the mind under law, forever weighing, forever finding the debt unpaid. And there is another way, in which the mind stops weighing and simply looks, and in looking sees that nothing needs to be earned because nothing was ever truly lost.

Grace is not a reward the ledger finally grants. It is the moment the ledger is set down, and the one who was accused is seen as he always was, innocent. A mind that has changed teachers no longer asks what a brother has paid; it remembers what he is, and finds the debt was never real.

Moses: the part of the mind that lives by measurement, keeping the account of guilt and demanding it be settled. Jesus Christ: the awakened part of the mind that looks past the account entirely, seeing innocence where the law saw only debt.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Moses is the law of assumption, the fixed rule that whatever you accept within yourself as being so becomes so. Imagination is the cause. A state held and felt as fact hardens into your world without exception. This law runs whether you know it or not, giving back to you the exact nature of what you assumed.

Grace and truth are what happens when that same power is recognized for what it is. Jesus Christ here is your own imagination awake to itself, no longer a blind machine you stumble through but the very awareness of being that you are. The law tells you how assumptions shape a life. Grace is the moment you know the one assuming is yourself, and that this creative power was never anywhere but within you.

Live John 1:17 today

  1. Think of one thing you have been quietly charging yourself for, a mistake you keep replaying at night. Stop adding interest to it today. The debt was never real, and paying it again helps no one.
  2. With one person, drop the running tally. Who texted last, who apologized, who owed whom a favor. Just reach out as if the score sheet had been thrown away, because it can be.
  3. When someone lets you down today, a late reply, a missed handoff, a forgotten thing, choose to see the tired person instead of the offense. Say it is fine and actually mean it.

Whose account have you been keeping, and what would it feel like to close it?

Tao Te Ching 38

When the way is lost, rules and strict codes appear to take its place. Where real kindness is alive, no ledger is needed.

Zen

A student who keeps weighing his progress is still carrying something. Set down the bucket and the water you were straining to hold is simply there.
