John 13:31 Meaning When He Had Gone Out

When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.

What does John 13:31 mean?

The moment fear departs, what remains shines, for glory is not something added to the mind but what the mind is when the obstacle to love is gone. The Son is glorified not by any achievement but by the removal of the one thing that hid his innocence, and in that clearing the Source is seen through him.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The moment fear departs, what remains shines, for glory is not something added to the mind but what the mind is when the obstacle to love is gone. The Son is glorified not by any achievement but by the removal of the one thing that hid his innocence, and in that clearing the Source is seen through him.

A mind reveals God the instant it stops obscuring Him. Nothing had to be won; something false simply left, and the light that was always there became visible. This is how correction works, by subtraction of illusion rather than addition of merit, so that what shines was never absent, only covered.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

In the very hour the world would call defeat, he speaks of glory. What the mind sees as loss, presence sees as the deepest fulfillment, for the small self is about to be surrendered completely, and through that surrender the deeper life shines without obstruction.

The human one is glorified not by rising above his fate but by fully accepting it, and in that acceptance the source becomes visible through him. When a person stops resisting what is and offers no more defense of the ego, the eternal shines through the human form, and that shining is the glory. It happens now, in the moment of yes, not somewhere beyond.

Live John 13:31 today

  1. Instead of adding one more habit or goal today, take one thing away: an app, a commitment you dread, a tab you keep open out of guilt. See what is underneath.
  2. When you are with someone tonight, put the phone in another room rather than face down on the table. The attention you keep trying to manufacture is just what is left when the interruption leaves.
  3. In the next tense conversation, stop defending yourself for one full breath. Say nothing. Whatever is good in you does not need the defense to exist.

What would be visible in me today if I simply stopped doing one thing that hides it?
