Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

What does John 14:6 mean?

The awakened Self within the mind is not a barrier standing between the mind and its Source but the very road that leads there. To reach reality the mind must pass through the recognition of its own innocence, for guilt cannot see God, and only the healed perception opens the way.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The awakened Self within the mind is not a barrier standing between the mind and its Source but the very road that leads there. To reach reality the mind must pass through the recognition of its own innocence, for guilt cannot see God, and only the healed perception opens the way.

There is no coming to the Father by way of fear, because fear teaches separation and the Father is not separate. The mind arrives at truth only by choosing the teacher who knows it is already loved. That teacher is the Self it forgot, and remembering it is the whole journey.

Father: the Source the mind never truly left, the wholeness in which it was created and remains.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

The 'I am' is not a historical person, but the timeless presence within you. It is the formless consciousness that precedes all thoughts, names, and forms. You cannot reach the Father, the formless Source, through the intellect or external rituals. You realize the Source only by aligning completely with the 'I am', the living truth of your essential Being in the Now.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The way, the truth, the life names the imagination in each person, the power by which every state is entered and made to appear. No teacher who lived once and stands apart owns that title. No one reaches the Father, the source of all that shows up in a life, except through this inner power. Outward roads lead nowhere. A person arrives at the origin of his world only by moving through his own awareness, assuming the state he wants until it feels settled and worn. The Father sits nowhere else. He is reached from within, along the single path that runs through a man's own consciousness. That path is what he already is.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

The voice that speaks is not a single figure standing outside a person but the awakened consciousness within, the true self that has risen above the flesh. It is the way because the path to the source runs through this inner center and nowhere else, the truth because seeing from that height is seeing things as they actually are, and the life because it is the living current that animates the whole being. The Father is the origin, the deepest ground of one's own consciousness, and no one reaches that ground by an outer road or a borrowed savior. Reaching the source happens only through the awakened self a person becomes inside.

PSYCHOANALYSIS

Psychoanalysis

Spoken to frightened followers on the last night, these words point past a single teacher to a living pattern present in every person, the inner figure who reconciles the divided self and shows the road home to its source. To meet that figure within is to find the way, because he stands for wholeness itself.

No one reaches the deep ground of his own being by cleverness or by going around the hard inner work. A person passes through this reconciling center, or he does not arrive at all. The way in is the way through, and it runs straight across the parts of ourselves we would rather avoid.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

Clinical Psychology

To live rightly you must aim at something above yourself, and the claim here is that this aim is not an abstraction but a way of being made flesh in a single life. The path, what is true, and what is genuinely alive turn out to be one thing, embodied rather than argued, walked rather than merely believed.

A man drifts and calls it freedom, but drift leads nowhere, because you cannot reach the highest good by wandering. You reach it by patterning your life on the one who lived it out completely, taking each step as he took it. That is what it means to follow a way rather than hold an opinion.

CYBERNETICS

Cybernetics

A person reaches what he longs for through a pattern he can follow, not through vague wishing at the sky. The words name a living path, a way and a truth and a life joined in one figure. The goal and the road become one thing wearing a face. A mind moves best toward what it can see.

Imagination works by picturing a form and growing into it. The picture leads. A clear pattern held before the inner eye sets the whole self traveling by it. The destination is reached by walking the way, not by staring at the distance.

SELF-HELP

Self-Help

Every result a person craves runs through a path, and pretending otherwise keeps them wandering. Here a figure claims to be that path itself, the truth to align to and the life to draw from, and He offers it as a decision, not a wish. Certainty like that changes a state instantly, because a person who knows the way stops flailing and starts walking.

A man who commits fully to one road reaches what a hundred half-tried directions never gave him. Clarity about the way forward is what turns longing into arrival.

Live John 14:6 today

  1. Before you open your inbox, take thirty seconds to let go of whatever you are still blaming yourself for from yesterday. You cannot see anything clearly today through that.
  2. Choose one person you have been keeping at a slight distance because of something they did, and drop the accounting for one conversation. The distance was never protecting you.
  3. When you make the mistake in front of everyone on the call, say what happened without adding the self-punishment on top. Own the error, keep your innocence.

What would today look like if I stopped treating my own guilt as the truth about me?

The deepest self in you and the ground of all being are not two. The road to the infinite runs straight through knowing who you actually are.

Sufism · Rumi

There is a love in you that is the path itself. You do not travel to it; you travel by it.

Zen

To seek the truth outside yourself is to ride an ox looking for an ox. What you are searching with is what you are searching for.
