John 14:7 Meaning If You Had Known Me

If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him.

What does John 14:7 mean?

To know the awakened Self is already to know its Source, for they are not two things. The mind that recognizes innocence in the teacher within has looked past the veil of guilt and seen what was always there.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

To know the awakened Self is already to know its Source, for they are not two things. The mind that recognizes innocence in the teacher within has looked past the veil of guilt and seen what was always there. Knowing is not something the mind will attain; it is what remains when the mistaken belief in separation is set down.

And so the seeing has already happened. The mind that thought it must search for God discovers it has been looking at Him in the one it loves, because love and its Source cannot be told apart.

Father: the Source the mind cannot see while it believes in guilt, revealed the instant the mind looks with love instead.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The Father is the awareness of being, the I AM in you that draws to itself whatever it accepts as so. To know it a person looks not up but inward. Jesus and the Father are two names for the same I AM: one wears the office of the sent, the other is the source. Both are the single awareness that says I am within every person. So knowing the one is knowing the other. To have seen him is to have seen your own imagination and recognized it as God.

From henceforth means the recognition has already begun the moment a person turns and looks. He was never far. He is the sense of being alive that has looked out of your eyes all along, unnamed. Once you know that the awareness within is the very source you searched for, you have seen the Father, and the searching is over.

Live John 14:7 today

  1. Look at one ordinary thing today, your coffee, the light on a wall, as if it were enough. You are not waiting for a better moment to arrive.
  2. When someone you love does something small and kind, let yourself be moved by it instead of moving straight on to the next thing. That was not a minor event.
  3. In traffic, with the day already going wrong, pick one stranger in another car and silently wish them well. Nothing has to be fixed first for that to be real.

What have I been searching for that has been in front of me the whole time?

That which you are seeking, you already are. The knowing was never far off; only the forgetting was.

Zen

There is nothing to attain. Set down the mistaken idea that you are separate and what remains is what you were looking for.
