What does John 2:9 mean?

Water made wine is plain knowledge turned into lived experience, the moment a truth you merely knew becomes something you have tasted for yourself. The ruler of the feast is the surface mind that enjoys the result and cannot say where it came from, because the change happened out of its sight.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Water made wine is plain knowledge turned into lived experience, the moment a truth you merely knew becomes something you have tasted for yourself. The ruler of the feast is the surface mind that enjoys the result and cannot say where it came from, because the change happened out of its sight. It drinks the wine and misses the source.

The servants who drew the water knew, for they did the inner work: they held the feeling until the knowing became the thing itself. This is how a state ripens. The one who assumes and sustains the wish within is the one who understands the change, while the mind that only meets the finished result stays puzzled by its origin. Knowledge becomes wine when a person lives it rather than merely holds it in his head.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

Ordinary awareness, plain water, is lifted into the higher vibration of spirit, wine, and the surface mind that only tastes the result cannot trace its origin. The governor enjoys the change without knowing the inner work, while the servants who drew the water are the lower faculties that did the drawing and so know the source. The bridegroom is the higher self called once the union is made. What rises in a person is felt at the top before it is understood, and the deeper powers that made it always know first.

Water made wine: plain awareness lifted into the higher vibration of spirit. Governor of the feast: the surface mind that tastes the result but cannot trace its source. Servants: the lower faculties that draw the change and so know its origin. Bridegroom: the higher self called forward once the inner union is made.

  1. Pick one thing you already believe is true and spend ten quiet minutes feeling it as though it has already happened to you, instead of reading one more article about it.
  2. When a friend asks how you are, answer from what you have actually lived through this week rather than from the opinions you have collected. Let them hear the difference.
  3. In a meeting where you could repeat something you half-know, say instead what you have tested yourself, even if it is smaller. The smaller thing will carry more weight.

What do I know well enough to say I have tasted it?
